When I arrived there for the very first time (to record the

), I was greeted by the advertisment of the local erotic-store, which .. as you can see ... is visually dominating the entire area. No matter from what direction you're approaching the town ... whether by car or by train ... the first thing you see is this giant sign. You can go for a walk, and - wherever you are - all you have to do is

look up

... and, voilà,

there it is

! Everthing you do inevitably happens in the shadow (or rather, the annoying light) of this tasteless monstrosity. In fact, it was even illuminating my hotelroom at night ... which, considering the content/purpose of the trilogy, definitely was the perfect icing for my cake.

The interesting thing is ... when I came back to finish the third part of the trilogy ("

CHILDREN of the CORN

") ... I was already atuned to a slightly

different

vibe

... and each time I looked up at this sign, it always seemed to read »

« to me. -- But then again, taking the surrounding logos and pictograms into account, this really wasn't such a far stretch at all. -- Well, on that note:
